Indiana Law students can build their own plan of study by taking classes from a number of different areas, or they can choose an area of focus.
Description This seminar explores the theoretical foundations of corporate law and corporate governance. Topics may include the theory of the firm, limited liability, production of corporate law, board governance, shareholder voting, executive compensation, market for corporate control, foundations of securities regulation, and comparative corporate governance. This course will be taught in a seminar format and students will be required to write an original research paper. Prerequisite: Corporations or permission of the instructor. (3 credits)
Note This course may offer writing credit.
